Rushmore University Payment and EEOC Policies

Any candidate with specific learning needs and with access to a computer is capable of completing Rushmore University work, since all Rushmore work is completed online.  In the past, Rushmore has accommodated both blind students and students with disabilities easily.  There is no face-to-face interaction between faculty and students, and except in special cases, there will be only limited personal discussions between faculty and students.

Rushmore University has a very flexible payment policy.  Our flex payment plans allow multiple types of payments.  Students have the option of full payment at registration, quarterly payments, or the choice of 12, 18, 24 or 36 payments, made monthly.  They may submit funds via wire transfer, cheque, or credit card payment.    Rushmore also offers a payment policy which allows students one month after registration to withdraw, and upon withdrawal, to have all funds they have paid in tuition returned to them.  This is our “No Risk, All Guarantee Policy.”

If students begin any Rushmore program, and find that it is not the correct program for them, we will return all funds to them that they have paid.  This ensures that the student is receiving the quality education which they believe Rushmore is capable of providing for them. Although others advertise they are the only University to do this, Rushmore has had this Policy in place from the inception of the University, and will continue this policy in the future.

The Rushmore Equal Opportunities Policy

The Overarching Purpose

Rushmore University aims to be an equal opportunity employer and will promote the concepts of equality, diversity and inclusion. Rushmore aims to ensure that members of staff and potential members of staff, students, and potential students are selected and treated on the basis of merit, ability and potential, regardless of their gender, age, sexual orientation, marital or parental status or other family circumstance, race, ethnic or national origin, colour, creed, disability, political belief, membership of, or activities as part of a trade union, social or economic class, or any other grounds not relevant to good employment or learning practice.

The Policy on Equal Opportunity

Rushmore University aims to eradicate unfair and discriminatory practices, direct or indirect, however and whenever they occur.  In order to further its policy on equal opportunities,  Rushmore University accepts and will practice the following principles and commitments:

Fair and open procedures will be observed with respect to recruitment, selection, deployment, training and promotion of all grades of staff and all students.  Ongoing monitoring of these procedures will be carried out regularly along with monitoring of  Rushmore’s workforce and equal opportunities training and guidance will be provided, particularly for staff involved in recruitment, selection, deployment and training of other staff.  Rushmore’s recruitment and selection procedures will be periodically reviewed and examined by the Board of Governors to ensure that they are not discriminatory in their intention or operation.  An effective complaints procedure will be used to resolve complaints of discrimination and breaches of this policy will be dealt with through Rushmore Board of Governors procedures.  Any victimisation of anyone who has complained of being discriminated against will be regarded as misconduct.  At all times, and in all places, positive action initiatives will be introduced, where appropriate language will be used.  Rushmore University correspondence and literature will reflect the letter and spirit of this policy.

Rushmore University’s Social Responsibility

The Dean of Graduate Studies, in conjunction with the actions of the Board of Governors for Rushmore University has the responsibility for the formulation of the relevant policies and for monitoring their implementation. The Board of Governors is responsible for devising and implementing appropriate procedures. Whenever necessary, The Dean of Graduate Studies will seek specialist help and advice of appropriate advisory bodies, e.g. Equal Opportunities Commission, Commission for Racial Equality and the Disability Rights Commission, in resolving any problem that might arise in the implementation and development of this and related policies.

However, personal responsibility for the successful operation of this policy lies with every member of staff of Rushmore University, particularly those responsible for the recruitment, selection, management and supervision of staff.

All Rushmore work completed and submitted by students will be maintained for a minimum of three years after the completion of degree work by the student.  If the student does not complete a degree program, the material submitted by the student learner will be held for a minimum of three years beyond the last date of payment of the student.

We have learned that some students do not matriculate within the anticipated three year time window.  Hence, we maintain payment records back to the start of the University, while maintaining compliance with all applicable credit card rules, and we actively encourage students to maintain their own files of grades issued, papers written, and projects submitted.

Rushmore believes that some students will continue to opt-in to non-accredited programs.  For that reason, we will continue to maintain a working University should the approval of CMI cease.  Historical precedent for Rushmore exists since 1995, and will continue for many years into the future.

Graduates of Rushmore are hired, promoted and earn raises at Fortune 500 and other organizations because of what they learn and learn to apply within their programmes.
